Why Vietnam Time, Not Your Local Time, Sets the Deadline
Vietgifts' cutoffs are fixed to Vietnam time - 6:00 PM in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang for same-day delivery, 4:00 PM in other provinces - so the practical deadline in your own time zone shifts throughout the year and needs converting each time you order.
Time Zone Planning by Country
US Eastern time is typically 11-12 hours behind Vietnam, so Vietnam's 6:00 PM cutoff falls in the early morning US Eastern time the same calendar day. Australia's Eastern states run 3-4 hours ahead of Vietnam, so the cutoff falls in the early evening locally. The UK is 6-7 hours behind Vietnam, putting the cutoff around midday UK time. Singapore is only 1 hour ahead of Vietnam, so the cutoff falls in the late afternoon Singapore time - the smallest adjustment of the four.

Notify the Recipient Before the Courier Arrives
A quick message to the recipient - "expect a mooncake delivery around [date]" - prevents confusion when a courier arrives with a gift they weren't told about, especially for elderly recipients who may be cautious about unexpected deliveries.
Building in a Buffer for Mid-Autumn Festival
Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 falls on September 25-26. Ordering 5-7 days ahead - or 7-10 days for premium sets - accounts for both time zone planning and the chance that your first-choice listing sells out.

What This Looks Like in Practice
Place your order a few days before your target delivery date rather than the same day, factor in the time zone gap so you're not accidentally ordering after the Vietnam cutoff, and send the recipient a short heads-up message once the order is confirmed.
